Our Story
Moralee Wines is a small family-run vineyard in West Chiltington, nestled in the foothills of the South Downs in West Sussex. Our five-acre vineyard sits on a south-facing slope of greensand soils, just 12 miles from the coast, where cooling maritime influences and warm sunshine create ideal conditions for producing expressive English wines.
The vineyard was planted in 2017 with classic varieties including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Précoce. From the outset our aim has been to produce small-batch, vintage wines that reflect both the character of the site and the individuality of each growing season.
Most vineyard work is carried out by hand, with careful fruit selection at harvest and whole-bunch pressing to preserve purity and precision. We collaborate with winemakers whose approach mirrors our own commitment to quality and site expression, allowing each vintage to develop naturally and authentically.
Since the first harvests, Moralee Wines has already produced several award-winning vintages, reflecting both the potential of the vineyard and the care taken at every stage of the process.
